Casual Contract, £120 per day, equivalent to £16 per hour
Partners in Care’s purpose is to support the development of a high-quality health & social care sector in the areas of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire. We offer varied and interesting work in a small friendly team located in a rural environment in Annscroft, near Shrewsbury.
We are looking to recruit a bank of Casual Moving and Handling Training Officers from our existing cohort of Trainers who have either completed our Moving and Handling 6 Day In House Trainers/Assessors course or from suitably qualified trainers who would be willing to complete the course. We are offering work on a casual basis of 1 or 2 days per week, depending on the number of trainers we recruit.
Under the direction of our Lead Moving and Handling Training Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of Moving and Handling/People Positioning and Load Handling courses to Health and Social Care staff to promote best practice.
We are looking for people with effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) as well as effective interpersonal and influencing skills. A teaching or training qualification would also be an advantage.
You will deliver courses at our offices in Annscroft (5 miles south of Shrewsbury) as well as at care providers’ own services and/or offices. You will therefore spend part of the time working across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire in health and social care settings and will need to have a car available for business use or be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.
