Meet the Trainers

 

 Karen Littleford, Safeguarding Adults Lead

Karen has worked for Shropshire Partners In Care for over 12 years, her contribution to the Shropshire Safeguarding Agenda has been invaluable. Karen delivers a range of courses throughout the local area and is available by email or telephone to offer support to providers or individuals. Karen represents SPiC on the Keeping Adults Safe in Shropshire Board (KASiSB) and Chairs the KASiSB Learning and Development Sub Group. As a Teacher, Karen also recognises the importance of networking and continued professional development and therefore organises the Networking Opportunity for Trainers Support Meetings for SPiC members (contact Karen for details) and the Safeguarding Adults Forum meetings (click here). She is passionate about Dignity and leads on the Dignity Agenda for Shropshire Partners In Care.

  • MA Safeguarding Adults; Law, Policy and Practice (Keele University)                                                     
  • BA (Hons) Environmental Studies, History and Sociology

  • NVQ 3 Children and Young People
  • NVQ 4
  • 7407 Stage 1 Certificate in Further Education Teaching
  • 7407 Stage 2 Certificate in Further Education Teaching
  • Post Compulsory Education (PCE) (Cert Ed Course)
  • Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) Status

 

Marion Kelly, Safeguarding Trainer

Marion worked for T&W Council for over eight years first in the Contract and Commissioning Section and then as Direct Payments team leader. Prior to that, she worked for Sandwell and Birmingham Councils in a variety of community development and training roles.
