SPIC Training Subsidy Guide for 2011-2012

Course Criteria for 2012/2013

(Please read in conjunction with Shropshire Partners In Care (SPIC) Subsidy application form)

You can claim 50% of course fees up to a maximumof £500.00  per establishment on a first come first served basis for the current financial year. (April 2012 - March 2013)

The Training Subsidy can be used to support training which covers one of the following areas:-

- Dementia
- End of Life
- Health & Safety
- Clinical Skills
- Specialist Skills

If you are unsure whether the training you have received covers one of the above areas, plesae contact the SPIC office on 01743 860011

The requirement for the Training Provider to be IFL registered has been removed this year, however the Training Provider does need to be on the Shropshire Partners In Care Training Provider list. If the Training Provider you have used isn't on this list, please contact the SPIC office.

Please note:-

Organisations cannot claim for any of the courses that can be accessed through Shropshire Partners In Care. the only exceptions to this rule are for the:

• 6 Day In-House Traininers Moving & Handlin Course
• 2 & 3 Day First Aid Courses

Diploma Units and NVQs cannot be claimed through the SPIC Subsidy. We are in the process of tendering for the Workforce DEvelopment Fund for 2012/2013 and will have more information in June 2012
