We have a vacancy for a suitably qualified person to provide First Aid training primarily to staff in residential care and nursing homes and domiciliary care agencies and other organisations
Aims: To equip social care staff (carers and auxillary staff) with the Skills to do safe and dignified moving and handling with the people and objects in their workplaces.
Cost: £15 per person
Times: Course is 6 ½ Hours between 10.00am – 4.30pm

Aims: To remind care staff of the principles of safer moving and handling and to update and improve their skills. It is not intended for beginners and should be completed by delegates who have completed the full moving and handling course with SPIC in the last 15 months.

Moving and Handling Risk Assessment Workshop for Managers
Aims: A workshop with Managers to experiment with different ways to risk assess people handling activities.Courses are run periodically depending on demand
Cost: £15 per person
Times: Course is 3 Hours runs between 10.30am – 1.30pm

In House Trainers Course
Aims: A 6 day course to enable people to train their own staff in Moving and Handling. The course covers: Moving and Handling Theory – Law, Ethics, Biomechanics, Risk Assessment / Principles of Teaching and Learning / People Handling Techniques (Resource Pack and Powerpoint included to be used within your organisations once the course has been completed). The qualification lasts 3 years and is supported by Regular Trainer Link Meetings.
Cost: £450 per person (50% available to claim back through the SPIC subsidy (subject to funding))
Times: Course is 6 Hours per day and runs between 10.00pm – 4.00pm
