Trainer in First Aid

2.5 days per week, flexible working will be required

This is a fixed terms contract to the end of the current financial year in the first instance but it is anticipated that there will be further funding to renew the post an annual basis.

Salary: £25,964.60 pa    (£12,982.30 pro rata)

Shropshire Partners In Care is the umbrella body for the independent health and social care sector in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

We have a vacancy for a suitably qualified person to provide First Aid training primarily to staff in residential care and nursing homes and domiciliary care agencies and other organisations. You must hold a relevant teaching qualification, a current First Aid at Work certificate preferably an assessors qualification; you will need to evidence that you have delivered FAAW course.

You should possess good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), interpersonal & influencing skills and have experience of organising and delivering training programmes in the health and social care sector. As you will be responsible for your own workload you should be able to prioritise your workload and schedule activities.

You will be based at SPIC’s offices at Annscroft (5 miles south of Shrewsbury) where we have two fully equipped training rooms but will also be expected to deliver training at venues in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. You should, therefore, be a car driver; a mileage allowance is payable.
