IT Skills Pathway

The IT Skills Pathway is a funded initiative from the Health and Social Care Information Centre.

Shropshire Partners in Care/The Care Workforce Development Partnership are a registered training centre and can deliver IT Skills Pathway course across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin to social care providers.

The IT E-Learning courses are free for Private, Independent and Voluntary – Micro, Small, Medium and Large Organisations.

Courses can be completed at work, home or you can utilise our IT hub located at Shropshire Partners in Care offices in Annscroft or Telford. Some courses can be completed in bite size chunks but certain courses will take a longer amount of time to complete.

 

CONNECTING YOUR BUSINESS TO THE TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS 

The IT Skills Pathway covers the full range of competencies for users of IT, from basic through to advanced levels. The Pathway has been developed in partnership with Health and Social care organisations to provide an officially recognised route of learning and certification for the whole workforce.

The programmes purpose is to encourage everyone working within Health and Social Care to review their current IT skills and knowledge against the national standards, determine what their skill gaps are and then identify their future training requirements based on the products that are available.

* For the Workplace courses are shorter versions of the Level One courses for each subject but above the Entry level Standard(Windows/Office & Digital Skills courses) if you feel your level is above basic but a full course on Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Outlook would be too much.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

1. The diagnostic assessments will assess your existing skills by testing you on your knowledge in a practical way.
2. Easy to follow e-learning modules and videos.
3. Consolidation exercises; downloadable files which will give you the opportunity to practice what you have learned.
4. A post learning assessment will evaluate how the programme has increased your knowledge.

Shropshire Partners in Care/The Care Workforce Development Partnership will deliver the pilot on behalf of IT Skills Pathway across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin to social care providers.

 

We are looking for Private, Independent and Voluntary – Micro, Small, Medium and Large Organisations who would like to put their staff onto free IT E-Learning Courses.

 

Courses can be completed at work, home or you can utilise our IT hub at the Shropshire Partners in Care office. Some courses can be completed in bite size chunks but certain courses will take a longer amount of time to complete.

 

You will be required to complete a pre-learning assessment to ensure you are allocated the correct level of learning for your needs.
